Terms of Service

This document is a template prepared for Adesso Italian. It must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before the service is offered to the public.
These terms govern the use of Adesso Italian and the purchase of private online Italian lessons. By creating an account you accept them.
1. The service
Adesso Italian provides private, one-to-one online Italian lessons delivered by video through the platform. Lessons last 50 minutes unless stated otherwise.
2. Account
You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent's consent), provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Subscription and credits
The monthly plan is billed in advance through Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. Each period grants the number of lesson credits shown at checkout; one credit equals one lesson.
Unused credits carry over while the subscription is active, within the limits shown in the app. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
4. Booking, cancellation and rescheduling
Lessons are booked in the tutor's published availability. You may cancel or move a lesson free of charge up to the notice period shown in the app (currently 12 hours before the start); later changes or missed lessons use the credit.
If the tutor cancels a lesson, the credit is always returned.
5. Payments, receipts and refunds
Prices are shown in euro, taxes included where applicable. Receipts are available for every payment; invoices are issued when billing details are provided.
You can cancel the subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds for the current period are not provided except where required by law.
6. Conduct
Lessons and chat must be used respectfully. Recording lessons requires the explicit consent of both participants. Abuse may lead to suspension of the account.
7. Intellectual property
Lesson materials, notes and exercises are provided for your personal study and may not be redistributed.
8. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers enjoy under mandatory law.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Italian law applies; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
